
Upveda Farmer Producer Organization has officially launched a new training initiative aimed at helping local farmers adopt organic and sustainable farming practices. The program was inaugurated at the village community hall with participation from over 80 farmers across nearby regions.
The training session covered key topics such as:
- Soil health improvement techniques
- Natural pest management
- Lowโcost organic fertilizers
- Waterโefficient irrigation methods
- Market opportunities for organic produce
Speaking at the event, the FPO management highlighted that this initiative will help farmers reduce input costs, improve crop quality, and increase longโterm profitability. Experts from the agriculture department also joined the session to guide farmers on government schemes and subsidies available for organic farming.
The FPO plans to conduct monthly workshops, field demonstrations, and oneโonโone advisory sessions to ensure continuous support for its members.
